Google Blacklist?
Is it true Google checks for “rule breaking” to improve page rank through links or other methods? According to the Google VP of Engineering, Douglas Merrill the quick answer is no. In order to get a more definitive answer, we must understand the methods used for deciding page rank. According to Douglas, all search results are decided by machine learning. No human hands touch the search results. He indicates the rumors that fly around the Internet are most likely referring to advertisement bans based on specific advertising rules. From this it can be understood that if your website loses page rank, its not because you put up the 1000 spam links, its most likely you put them on sites that have been programmatically determined to be irrelevant junk sites. Most all core techniques used at Google for page rank are machine learning. Everything is indexed syntactically determined and do not use word meanings (i.e. Keyword Ontology).
