Labor Day – A Tribute

Being labor day, I thought I would take a few moments to write down some thoughts. Labor day, as you may or may not know, was created by a guy named McGuire back in the 1800′s. The only thing in dispute is which McGuire; Matthew or Peter. Regardless, the holiday was created to pay tribute to the American Worker. It was created to take time off from the labors of the day. Whether you are a construction worker, a taxi cab driver, an online marketer, a software engineer, a truck driver, an executive, a musician, or anything else, it’s time to enjoy a day off.

Trickle Down Economics Working In Georgia

Do you have any questions about trickle down economics? Do you even understand what they are. In a nutshell, trickle down economics is the act of Government providing tax cuts or other benefits to bug businesses or other wealthy individuals in a belief that this will directly affect the rest of us. Does it really work? Just ask the people of Westpoint Georgia.

After receiving tax breaks of $400,000,000 dollars, Kia, the Korean Car Company, will be opening a sprawling manufacturing plant in West Point, Georgia. The company will hire 2500 new workers. Their population is 3500. The community stands to gain 20,000 new jobs over the next five years. You can read more about it here and here.

This just goes to show you, two things. Trickle down economic works. Less Government is better!
